Eliminate the symptoms and faults of drive shaft damage
1. If the speed of the car changes suddenly while driving, the drive shaft makes a metal knocking sound, indicating that individual flanges or universal joint cross bearings are worn too much and loose, causing abnormal noise in the drive shaft.
2. When the car starts, the drive shaft makes a "bang" sound or the noise is very chaotic. When the car is reversing on a gentle slope, it makes a sound. The intermittent "click" sound indicates that the needle roller is broken or broken, and the needle roller bearing should be replaced.
3. When the car starts or shifts gears, the drive shaft has an obvious metal impact sound, and low-speed shifting is more obvious than high-speed shifting. This is mainly due to the reduction of the interference fit between the inner ring of the intermediate support and the shaft, and the abnormal noise caused by loosening.
4. When the car starts or drives, there is always a "click" abnormal sound of the drive shaft, accompanied by vibration, indicating that the fixing bolts of the intermediate support bracket are loose.
5. When the car is driving at a low speed, the drive shaft has a clear and rhythmic metal impact sound, and there is a clear sound when the car is disengaged and gliding. The pressure of the multi-purpose joint bearing shell is too large, so that the bearing cannot rotate flexibly.
6. When the car is running, the sound of the transmission shaft increases with the increase of speed, and the intermediate support bearing emits a dull and continuous turbid sound, indicating that the intermediate support bearing is loose due to excessive wear.
The transmission shaft continuously emits a "woohoo" sound. First, check whether the intermediate support bearing support rubber gasket clamp sleeve fastening bolts are too tight or too loose, causing the bearing support position to be skewed. The tightness of the bearing cover bolts can be adjusted to eliminate abnormal noise faults. If there is still noise after adjusting the bearing preload, the lubrication of the bearing should be checked. If the bearing is poorly lubricated, the bearing should be disassembled and cleaned, and the composite bearing and bracket should be installed after adding grease.
Use and maintenance of the transmission shaft
To ensure the normal operation of the transmission shaft and extend its service life, attention should be paid during use:
1. It is strictly forbidden to start the car at high speed.
2. It is strictly forbidden to lift the clutch pedal violently.
3. It is strictly forbidden to overload the car and overspeed.
4. The working condition of the transmission shaft should be checked frequently.
5. The tightness of the transmission shaft hanger should be checked frequently, whether the supporting rubber is damaged, whether the connection parts of the transmission shaft are loose, and whether the transmission shaft is deformed.
6. In order to ensure the dynamic balance of the transmission shaft, you should always pay attention to whether the balance welding piece is desoldered. A new transmission shaft assembly is provided. When loading a new transmission shaft, pay attention to the assembly mark of the telescopic sleeve and ensure that the flange fork is in one plane. When repairing and disassembling the transmission shaft, the assembly mark should be printed on the telescopic sleeve and the flange shaft to keep the original assembly relationship unchanged.
7. Grease should be added to the universal joint cross bearing frequently. No. 3 lithium-based grease should be injected in summer and No. 2 lithium-based grease should be injected in winter.
